In what might be a big boost for the One year MBA (EPGP) programme at IIM Indore, Rishikesha T. Krishnan from IIM B has been appointed the Director at IIM Indore. Rishikesha is also a visiting fellow at Indian School of Business which popularized the One year MBA in India and which offers the programme as its flagship offering.
With this the much debated search of the new Director of IIM Indore comes to a close.
The Times of India reports that sources said that Krishnan has accepted the offer to join as director of IIM I. However, the institute is yet to receive the official confirmation from the ministry of human resource and development. Speaking to the paper, Krishnan said, “I have received communication of approval from the ministry but I am yet to recieve the appointment letter.” When asked about his joining at the institute, he said, “The dates will be given by the ministry and I will follow it.”
According to the TOI, Krishnan’s joining orders can come anytime as the tenure of existing director N Ravichandran had expired in November last. Though he got extension of three months due to controversy over the director search panel, his relieving orders are likely to come shortly.
Highlights from Prof. Rishikesha’s career:
