90% MBA Graduates of ESADE Secure Jobs Within 3 Months of Graduation

Around 90% of the full-time MBA batch of the 2016-17 batch at ESADE Business and Law School managed to secure jobs within three months of graduation received in the international job market.

Prestigious global companies recruited 81% of the graduates for positions abroad. For MSc Programs in Management, the figure was 80%, the Madrid-based school stated on its website. Almost 92% of MSc students landed jobs within three months of graduation.

Among the Master in Law program graduates, 97% have accepted job offers and already started working.

ESADE Director General Eugenia Bieto said, “These figures allow us to be optimistic about our students’ placement in the years to come. Despite today’s political instability, companies still need global talent and leaders with a strong ethical foundation who are capable of managing in extremely complex settings,” she added.

About 17% work in Latin America, 14% in Asia, 10% in the United States, 6% in the Middle East and 2% in Oceania and Africa. Similarly, 79% of 2016 MSc graduates have an international presence.

Major companies that have hired the most in recent years are McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), Amazon, Google and Microsoft.

ESADE claims that the employability and international competitiveness of its graduates could be seen from the fact that 81% of the MBA alumni are employed outside of Spain. Specifically, 51% work in other European countries (31% in Germany; 14% in the United Kingdom; 10% in Switzerland; 10% in the Netherlands; 10% in France; and 25% in other countries).

The technology industry has recruited the largest number of MBA graduates at 32%. For MSc participants, consulting is the key industry at 30%. For BBA graduates, it is 35% each for Technology and Finance.

Consulting figures among the top three sectors that recruit the maximum number of graduates, along with technology, general services and communication industries.

ESADE Careers organises job fairs to ensure successful placement of the graduates. As many as 80 companies had turned up at these fairs this year, more than in the previous years. The companies include General Electric, Johnson & Johnson, H&M, PepsiCo and the Clinton Foundation.

“Human resource teams, directors of different business areas and alumni have had the opportunity to interact with ESADE MBA, MSc, BBA, Double Degree and CEMS programme participants,” said Maria José Verastegui, Director of Corporate Development for ESADE Careers.

“For students, it’s a unique opportunity to learn about different industries, find out about the professional opportunities they provide and begin to define their new professional futures upon completing their studies,” she added.
