SIBM Placement

Placement support is available for all the MBA Specializations at SIBM, Pune. In 2019, more than 180 participated in the placement drives conducted, which is the highest till date.

Placement Highlights 2019:

• The total number of recruiters participated in the placement process was more than 90. They have made 186 job offers in total.
• In addition, 87 PPOs have been accepted by the students. Branch with Maximum PPOs: Finance
• The male-female ratio of students participated in the placement process was 69:31
• Highest Salary Package: INR 34.26 Lakhs
• Median CTC offered: INR 18.50 Lakhs
• Average Salary Package: INR 20.14 Lakhs

Sector-wise placement:

At SIBM, the students have a range of job roles to select from different sectors, consisting of HR, Operations & Strategy, Marketing etc. The sector with maximum placement was IT/ITES recorded 26% placement. Other prominent sectors were BFSI (20%) and FMCG (19%).

The maximum salary offered to the students was different for different branches. In finance branch the highest salary package was INR 20 Lakhs while in Marketing the maximum salary package was of INR 34.26 Lakhs which is also the overall highest.

The PPOs offered (in percentage) was also not similar for different branches. In Marketing, 46% students were offered with PPOs, while in HR, the percentage of the same was 24% only.

Previous Years Placement Trends:

At SIBM Pune in 2019, 90 plus organizations have been there with placement offers for the students pursuing MBA in different specializations. In 2018, 83 organizations have been participated in the placement process, and in 2017, 85 organizations were there.  The total number of jobs offered by participating organizations was 186 in 2019, and 192 in 2018. If we look at the PPOs offered, in 2019 the number was 87. While in 2018, there were 83 PPOs offered.

Gender Diversity:

The male-female ratio of the students participated in the placement process in 2019 was 69:31 while in 2018 the same was 64:36.

SIBM Pune salary statistics trends

At SIBM Pune, in 2019 the average salary gained by top 50 students was INR 27.18 Lakhs, whereas the same for top 100 students was INR 23.59 Lakhs.

The average salary package and maximum salary package offered are also improved in 2019. Previous year, the maximum CTC offered was INR 29 Lakhs while this year the same went up to INR 34.26 Lakhs. Following is the salary trends of the previous year:

Similar to this, the average CTC provided to the top 100 students and 50 students also get improved from the previous year. The average salary of the top 50 students was INR 27.18 Lakh this year and the same was INR 23.76 Lakhs previous year.

Top recruiters

At SIBM, more than 90 organizations participated in the placement process this year. The top recruiters among these were Airtel, Capgemini, HBSC, Accenture, Dell etc.
