The IIFT (Indian Institute of Foreign Trade) Delhi is among India’s top B-schools and it offers over 15 courses in business management studies, humanities & social science, and engineering at both the UG and PG levels. The institute conducts its own entrance test and conducts personal interviews for the admissions into the MBA, Executive MBA & Ph.D. courses. Established in 1963 by the Government of India, the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is an independent institution that trains professionals in the field of international business and export management. Campuses are stationed in the cities of Kolkata, New Delhi, Kakinada, and Dar-es-Salaam (Tanzania).

The primary courses offered at the institute includes a two-year full-time MBA in International Business, a part-time MBA course in International Business, Certificate Programme in Export Management and Executive Masters in International Business. 

IIFT Delhi Admission process

The admissions for the two-year full-time MBA in International Business programme at IIFT is on the basis of a written test followed by a group discussion and interview. The admission bulletin is released in the second week of July and the written test is held in November in Bhubaneswar, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Jamshedpur, Chandigarh, Guwahati, Lucknow, Jaipur, Allahabad, Indore, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Visakhapatnam and Nagpur.

The written test involves four sections including English comprehension, general knowledge & awareness, logical reasoning and quantitative analysis. For international candidates and NRIs, admission is based on the General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).

IIFT Delhi Fee

The tuition fee for the two-year full-time MBA programme comes to INR 7,60,000/ year. The fee for the Executive Post Graduate Diploma Programme in International Business/ International Marketing/ International Finance is INR 5,10,000/- and for Certificate Programmes in Export-Import Management/Global Trade Logistics and Operations/ Capital & Financial Markets is INR 75,000/-.

In the 2017-19 batch, the top 50 students were offered a salary of INR 31.12 LPA. The overall average CTC offered to students has increased by 5 % from the previous batch. In 2017, IIFT was ranked 9^th place by Business Today and was ranked 2^nd among the colleges in Delhi. In 2019, this institute bagged the 10^th and the 23^rd spot based on surveys conducted by Business Standard and the Economic Times, respectively, among all MBA colleges in the country. The same publishers also ranked IIFT as the 2^nd and 3^rd best colleges, respectively in New Delhi. This year, IIFT was awarded the 26^th place by NIRF and the 27^th place by Outlook. IIFT is also the best college among all the colleges in Delhi, according to the same survey.
