IIM Shillong MBA / PGPM Curriculum

Structure of the program

Both elective and core courses are included in the curriculum, and the whole program is spread into six semesters and two years. Students are only introduced to core courses in the first year of this program, where the elective courses take part in the second year.

Each year of this program is divided into three terms (each has three months duration). After the 1st year, all students must go through the two-month duration of the internship program with businesses and corporates. In the second year, students can choose elective courses for further specialization in their area of the field.

The institute also encourages students to take independent study courses. These courses are capped by a capstone course that helps students to understand the real corporate world and organizational needs.
