Admission Open for 1-Year MBA at Huntsman School of Business
0Admission is open for the full-time 1-year MBA program at the Utah State University’s Jon M. Huntsman School of Business.
Along with the core business curriculum, the program has various specializations including Value Creation and Business Analytics.
The tuition fee for Utah residents and non-Utah residents who are children or grandchildren of USU alumni is $29,688. For out of state applicants, it is pegged at $47,696. For international candidates, it will be $47,896.
The 1st priority deadline for submission of applications is December 1, 2nd priority deadline on February 1, international student deadline on May 1 and final priority deadline on June 1. The Scholarship Review deadline is on February 1.
The school said, in order to be considered for scholarship review, applications must be received by the 2nd priority deadline on February 1. Applications received after the final priority deadline will be considered on a space-available basis.
The Program
The school says students will have personal access to expert knowledge from seasoned professors with real-world business experience. It also promises a global learning experience through immersive, hands-on education.
The program also has courses covering a wide range of subjects including marketing, strategy and process improvement to enable graduates get positions of their choice or embark on starting a business.

The school also offers the facility of earning a dual degree over a period of two years. In the most recent cohort, 32% of our MBA students took advantage of dual-degree programs. Coupling your Master of Human Resources, Master of Management Information Systems or Master of Electrical Engineering degree with your MBA will give you the business knowledge you need to bring your expertise into the boardroom.
Eligibility Criteria
You should have Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent) from an accredited college or university. You should submit either the GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) or GRE (Graduate Record Examination), or MAT (Miller Analogies Test) scores. Only the quantitative and verbal sections of the GMAT and GRE are considered.
Graduate admission test scores are valid for five years. If you have taken an entrance exam multiple times, the highest score will be used in the application process.
When submitting your application, you may record unofficial test scores, but official test scores must be reported directly to the USU School of Graduate Studies.
Applicants are required to submit official transcripts from each college or university attended. The transcripts are to be sent to the USU School of Graduate Studies Office.
All applicants have to submit a Statement of Purpose. This is a one-page essay of your career goals and objectives.
It should provide insights into why you want an MBA, why you would be a good candidate and the benefits you anticipate receiving upon completion of the program. The essay is submitted as a supplemental item after the application fee has been paid.
Full-time MBA applicants are required to submit three letters of recommendation. The names and email addresses of the recommenders are entered directly into the application.
Your recommenders must submit their letters of recommendation through the online application, which will be sent to their email.
Huntsman does not insist on prior work experience for the full-time MBA program, professional work experience greatly increases the level of employment opportunities at the conclusion of your MBA program.
Applicants are required to submit a professional résumé as a supplemental item in the application. It should include employment history and educational accomplishments, highlight managerial and leadership experience and meet professional business résumé standards.
International applicants who have not obtained a university degree in an English-speaking country are required to take either the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), International English Language Test System (IELTS), or the Pearson Test of English Academic (PTE Academic).
Applicants may also be asked to attend an interview with two members of the MBA Admission Committee. Interviews are conducted by invitation only. Applicants will be contacted by the MBA Office to arrange the time for the interview held on-campus in Logan.
A non-refundable $55 application fee is paid to the School of Graduate Studies Office. The payment is submitted online at the conclusion of your application.
