Admission is open for New York University(NYU)  Stern’s Andre Koo Tech MBA, a one year program specifically designed for those with a passion for technology and a taste for a career in business and industry. With a 51-credit curriculum, the program that starts in May 2020, combines a lock-step core with flexibility in choosing electives.

Application Deadlines

The first round application deadline is September 15 and applicants will receive the initial notification by December 1, 2019, which will either be an invitation to interview wait-list offer or denial of admission.

The second-round application deadline will be November 15 with the initial notification by February 1, 2020. The third round application deadline will be January 15 and the initial notification by   March 1, 2020. Applicants who are non-U.S. citizens at the time of submitting their application must apply no later than January 15.

Only U.S. citizens and Permanent Residents are eligible to apply in the fourth round with the deadline on February 15 and initial notification on April 1, 2020.

Eligibility Criteria

You should have a four-year bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in the U.S. or an equivalent degree from a foreign country (in some cases, this is a three-year degree).

The Tuition and Registration Fees are $95,100. In living expenses room & board costs $8,440 in summer and $26,024 in fall & spring. Books and supplies cost $990 (summer) and  $1,980 (fall & spring).

Stern has no minimum standardized test score requirements and only your highest overall score are taken into consideration. A valid GMAT or GRE score is required for all MBA applicants. The school has no preference for the GMAT or GRE and you can submit the scores of either test (Gmat reporting code is 5TF-HW-71 and GRE reporting code 2246).

Since mastery of English is required for the program, you should either be a native speaker of English or your undergraduate or graduate degree was taught in English or you should submit results from either TOEFL or the IELTS.

The admissions committee looks out to select candidates who demonstrate strong intellectual ability, superior interpersonal skills and a desire to create value for business and society. Every applicant is evaluated on their academic profile, professional achievements and aspirations along with personal characteristics.

Program Curriculum

The curriculum comprises 4 major components, namely, the Business Core, the Technology Core, Stern Solutions (Experiential Learning) and Elective courses.

The Business Core aims at building a broad knowledge in fundamental areas of business. These are Leadership, Corporate Finance, Economics, Accounting, Marketing, Strategy, Business Communication and Professional Responsibility.

The Technology Core is designed and delivered in partnership with the Department of Computer Science at NYU’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences. It comprises Technical Product Management, Emerging Technologies, Dealing with Data, DevOps and Software Engineering (in partnership with Courant), Tech Evolution & Economics, Business Analytics, Foundations of Networks and Mobile Systems (in partnership with Courant) and Entrepreneurship.

Tech MBA students have the opportunity to take 10.5 credits in their elective classes. Students can select to pursue electives in their functional area or take courses in areas of interest.

Fee & Other Expenses

The Tuition and Registration Fees are $95,100. In living expenses room & board costs $8,440 in summer and $26,024 in fall & spring. Books and supplies cost $990 (summer) and  $1,980 (fall & spring).

Transportation  is $1,110 in fall & spring. Miscellaneous expenses are  $2,653 (summer) and     $7,984 (fall & spring). The loan fees is $109 (summer) and $218 (fall & spring). The total living expenses are $13,345 (summer) and $37,316 (fall & spring)
