The program is stated to be “an intensive, cross-disciplinary, hands-on experience designed for recent graduates, young professionals, and dual degree candidates.”
Students come from varied academic backgrounds including engineering, communications, STEM, agriculture, arts, and sciences, as well as business.
The Lexington-based College claims that the program includes highly interactive, action-based courses in a corporate setting through an internship program called Project Connect.
The-32 weeks-long project sees student teams paired with companies to work on projects of importance to their corporation or organization.
These projects focus on core business processes such as data analysis, marketing, research, growth strategy, supply chain management, logistics, and operations.

This internship opportunity allows students to apply what they e learn in the class room with real-time projects. Student teams devote 70- 80 hours per person per project, working with the company to address issues and develop strategies.

Admission decisions may be based, in part, on unofficial scores, but official scores are required prior to full admitted status. The GRE or GMAT exam may be waived by the MBA Admission Committee if the applicant meets certain criteria.
International students (with the exception of those who hold a degree from a U.S. institution of higher education) must submit the official results of the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with an overall minimum score of 550 (written exam) or 213 (computer exam), and the Test of Written English (TWE) with a score of 4.5 or higher.
They can also submit the official results of the IBT (Internet Based Test) for the TOEFL with a minimum score of 79 or the IELTS (International English Language Testing System) with a minimum total score of 6.5.
One Letter of Recommendation is needed from an individual (e.g., professors, current or former supervisors, etc.) who is able to objectively assess the quality of your character, capabilities, and accomplishments as well as your overall potential as an MBA student and future business leader.
A Professional Resume/CV is to be submitted highlighting professional experience, educational history, and accomplishments. Cover letters are not required. A Personal Statement on the topic of “Servant Leadership” is also to be submitted. MBA Preparatory Courses may also be required for certain candidates to be completed before the start of the program.
The priority scholarship deadline for the program is February 15, the domestic application deadline on May 11 and international application deadline on January 15. The One Year MBA students begin their course of study in early-June each year.
The 2017-18 batch has total 71 students of whom 47 (66%) are male and 24 (34%) female. The Acceptance Rate is 42% and Yield Rate 78%.
Kentucky Residents at 57 form 80% of the class and Non-Kentucky Residents at 14 the remaining 20%. Minority Students at 4 make up 6%. International Students numbering 7 form 10% of the class.
The average age of the students is 25. The average GMAT is 597, Average GRE 313 and Average UGPA 3.5. UK Graduates at 49 form 69% of the Class. Non-UK Graduates are 22 (31%).
