Application Window Opens for EPGP 2018 at IIM Bangalore

Aspirants for the 1-year full-time Executive Post Graduate Program (EPGP) at IIM Bangalore can now apply for the 2018-19 batch with the application window for Round 1 remaining open till 5:00 pm on August 31. Round 2 will be from September 1 to December 4, 2017.

The EPGP is for middle-level executives with a minimum work experience of 5 years and a maximum of 12 years. It provides students with the same solid foundation in key management concepts and disciplines as a 2-year program, with similar rigour, a range of electives, and grading criteria.

Eligibility Criteria & Admission Process

Candidates should be graduates in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. They should have a minimum 5 years (and preferably less than 12 years) of work experience after completion of graduation (as on March 31, 2018).

They should also have a valid GMAT/GRE score. The test should have been taken on or between September 1, 2012, and August 31, 2017, for Round 1 and December 5, 2012, and December 4, 2017, for Round 2.

The shortlisted candidates will be called for interviews on September 23-24 for round 1 and December 16-17 for round 2 in Bangalore, New Delhi, Kolkata and Mumbai. The offers and the wait list will be announced on October 6 and December 26 for round 1 and 2 respectively.

Along with the application, a Statement of Purpose (SOP) highlighting your career goals and achievements is to be submitted.

Two references (online), preferably one from the current employer or from an individual who is in a position to evaluate your job performance are also to be submitted.

An IIMB faculty committee will review all the applications to shortlist candidates based on various criteria. The shortlisted

candidates will be called for Personal Interview. The interview panel will comprise two faculty members and an IIMB alumnus. The interview panel will evaluate each candidate’s performance, on the basis of the quality of experience/diversity, leadership qualities, social sensitivities and other such factors.

Selection of the candidate is based on their academic background, work experience, GMAT/GRE scores, Statement of Purpose (SOP) and 2 Reference letters. They would also have to undergo a Written Ability Test and Interview. The admission process is personalised as the committee seeks to learn about each candidate’s goals and the potential for success in management. The school also strongly encourages applications from those belonging to socially weaker sections (SC, ST, NC-OBC) as well as Persons With Disabilities.

The EPGP admission process starts with the submission of online application form. An application fee of Rs 3,000 is to be given for the first round and Rs 4,500 for the second round.

The GMAT/GRE scores have to be sent directly to IIMB. The code for GMAT is Q9H-KK-84 and 1675 for GRE scores to be sent directly to IIMB. The office score report from Pearson / GMAC (for the GMAT) or ETS (for the GRE) will be used for verification.

The last date for accepting offers will be November 3 for round 1 and January 25, 2018, for round 2. The last date for withdrawal will be November 30 (round 1) and February 15, 2018 (round 2). Program Registration will be announced later.

Candidates who are outside India and unable to attend the Personal Interview can opt for Skype. The dates will be informed separately based on the location of the candidates.

Fees & Other expenses

The total fees for the program would be Rs 27,96,675 (shared accommodation) and Rs 29,52,500 (family accommodation). it includes Fees that cover tuition, course material, computing and networking, library, alumni association, student activities, career counselling and accommodation. The expenses for the mandatory International Immersion is also included. The amount shown is an estimate. The final amount will be charged based on the actual costs.
