Calling Applications for PGEPX 12th Batch (2018-19) at IIM Calcutta

IIM Calcutta has started the admission process for the 12^th batch (2018-19) of the PGPEX (Post Graduate Programme for Executives) that provides mid-career professionals with an ideal platform to augment their existing skill sets as they aim for senior and top management roles in the industry.

The program fee for the academic year 2018- 19 will be Rs 22,00,000 (non-refundable) or equivalent in US Dollars for one year, plus applicable service tax payable in four instalments.

While the date for downloading the application form and brochure began on June 30, aspirants could submit the completed application forms online from July 1 to October 2017. The names of the shortlisted candidates will be announced in the first week of November.

Interview of the shortlisted candidates will take place in the first week of November, tentatively from November 11 to 14, IIM Calcutta said on its website. The list of candidates selected for the program will be made in the last week of November. The last date for acceptance and payment of the first instalment of fees will be in the second half of December. The reporting date on campus for participants will be April 24.

Registration of students will take place on April 25-26. The program will commence on April 27, 2018.

Along with the application form, an application fee is to be paid by demand draft/banker’s cheque. The other documents are the GMAT score card, proof of proficiency in English, if applicable, self-attested scanned copies of original certificates and mark sheets / transcripts of examinations passed/degrees obtained. You should also submit a Statement of Purpose and two Letters of Recommendation.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants should possess a bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3 years of formal education) or equivalent in any discipline. They should have at least 5 years of full-time post qualification managerial/professional experience as on March 31, 2018. The GMAT score should be of a test taken within the last 36 months of the application date.

While the Institute does not use any pre-determined GMAT score, an overall assessment is made on the basis of academic background, professional experience, personal interviews, statement of purpose & recommendations.

Fees & Other Expenses

The program fee for the academic year 2018- 19 will be Rs 22,00,000 (non-refundable) or equivalent in US Dollars for one year, plus applicable service tax payable in four instalments.

The first instalment of Rs 4,00,000 plus tax should be paid by December 23 or last date of acceptance. The second instalment of Rs 5,00,000 plus tax should be paid by April 25-26, 2018 or date of registration. The third instalment of Rs 7,00,000 plus tax by July 25 and the fourth instalment of Rs 6,00,000 plus tax by November 28.

An amount of Rs 20,000 has to be paid as refundable caution deposit at the time of registration. (Students provided with family accommodation will have to pay Rs 48,000 extra).

The programme fee includes tuition fees, the cost of study material, accommodation and cost of study tours organised by IIMC. Airfare, visa and medical insurance charges for overseas study tours will be borne by the Institute. However, students will have to bear the expenses for food, personal travel, electricity, cable TV, other utility and misc., expenses and any other expenses of personal nature during their stay in the campus or abroad.
