Students will develop their basic skills in business and management through the Core General Management Program from September to April. It has a large number of modules that will cover all areas of business and management.
Block 1 comprises Strategy and Organisations; Block 2: Financial Environment; Block 3: Creating Management Advantage; Block 4: Knowledge and Policy. This will be followed by a Strategy Project and International Consultancy Week.
April to September, the students will undertake a tailored program of electives and a Business Mastery Project.
Throughout the year, they will have opportunities for professional development along with MBA Networking Events. There is also a one-to-one career coaching.
The Elective modules cover Consulting and Strategy, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Finance, General Management and Marketing.
The international modules include a UAE International Study Tour, China International Study Tour and Strategic Marketing in Action: Exploring Location Brands.
If English is not your first language you will require a minimum, well- balanced IELTS score of 7.0. In some cases, this requirement can be waived. Due to changes in the UKVI’s list of SELTS TOEFL will not be accepted as evidence of English language for those requiring a CAS as of April 2014.
You will run two projects alongside the core and elective modules – one Strategy Project in the first half of the MBA program, followed by a Business Mastery Project in the latter half.
The program is accredited by the Association of MBAs (AMBA), European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS) and Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
A minimum of three years’ full-time professional experience, gained after graduation. A good university degree (upper second class honours degree (2:1) or above) or appropriate professional qualification, or at least six years’ relevant business experience if you don’t have a degree.
All applicants to the Full-time MBA are required to take either GMAT or GRE. You should aim for a well-balanced minimum GMAT score of 600 (the average score is 653) and for an equivalent minimum score in GRE.
All applications are considered on an individual basis. A high GMAT or GRE score doesn’t guarantee admission. You can apply before you take either test if you provide your confirmed test date on your application form – you must send the test booking confirmation together with your application.
Applicants will have to fill in the Personal statement and supporting questions in the online application form.
