The 12 months of course work is spread over four terms of 12 weeks each, that is, 11 weeks classroom teaching plus one week for exams and assignments. The cohort will be engaged in three months of a field research project at the end of the course work.
FORE claims that it has formulated a best in class, industry-relevant curriculum to enable participants to build cutting edge skills like Data Analytics & Artificial Intelligence, Innovation & Design Thinking, Marketing Analytics, FinTech, Venture Capital, M&A etc.
The International Immersion Program is six half-credit courses in 90 hours of course work, to be completed in four weeks with certification at the School’s academic partner Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore, the ‘NTU-FORE Global Management Certificate’.
Another highlight of the program is a minimum of 30 hours of classes at FORE campus by renowned Professors from Ivy League/Premier B-schools of international repute. The school says a strong industry connect will be ensured through content creation and delivery by corporate experts.
FORE also offers lateral placement support, leveraging more than 5000 alumni of the Institute, placed all over the world.
Prof. Asif Zameer, Dean (Corporate Relationship) at FORE, spoke to OneYearMBA.com about the program. “We have been doing executive programs through corporate training and also open programs on online platforms. This is one product with a lot of potential in the market for middle-level executives in the mid-career level with no formal management education who find themselves stuck with regard to career progression,” he said.
“It is a full-time program. The participant should either be sponsored by the company or take a sabbatical from the job. Since it is an accelerated program, they would not have to stay away from work too long and suffer monetary losses,” he pointed out.
“We have tried to create a certain new-age course. We have placed a lot of emphasis on analytics-based program, including marketing analysis, need of the hour courses. Even the international immersion at Singapore is an analysis heavy program and puts people on a different slot after that,” he added.
Prof. Zameer said the 15-month program was structured in such a way that the first 12 months provide an intensive classroom experience, including four weeks of international immersion. “Then we have 3 months of field-based projects. They need not come to the campus for the project and if they manage to get a job by then, they will be able to take it up also.”
About the difference between this program’s international module, he said international immersion at several of the B-schools is optional and students will have to shell out extra money. “So not many opt for it…even if it is embedded, the exposure is generally 10 to 15 days maximum. Here, the participants will get the NTU-FORE Global Management Certificate in addition to the PGPX Certificate at the end of the program.
Asked if FORE would be providing campus placement, he said the school has strong placement support, including more than 6000 alumni, placed all over the world.
About the class strength, he said AICTE has given approval for one section, which is 60, the maximum that can be enrolled right now.
On scholarships, he said there was no facility in the first offer. However, the program has been designed in a cost-effective manner. The school will also be able to help get loans from the banks which will be no problem since it is an AICTE approved program.
There is also a facility of paying the fee in three installments.
The fee covers the Tuition fee, Establishment/Development fee, Co-curricular Activities (Industrial visits, corporate interactions, seminars etc.), Extra-curricular Activities (sports, annual events, cultural fests etc.).
Library, Books, Cases, Software, Computer & Internet Related expenses and a refundable security deposit of Rs 10,000.
