Fast Indian food chain Hello Curry has announced the acquisition of Paratha Post, a city-based player in the food delivery space, in a cash and stock deal.
The announcement was made by Hello Curry CEO Raju Bhupathy, and Founder/CEO of Paratha Post, Mukesh Lamba.
According to a Hello Curry statement, Paratha Post was founded in 2013 by two IIM graduates, Mukesh Lamba and Rituraj Chaturmohta.
It serves 55 varieties of parathas and curries. Paratha Post has sold nearly 300,000 parathas last year and executed around 60000 delivery transactions.
Hello Curry was launched in Hyderabad in early 2014.
Last week it launched its operations in Bengaluru with delivery beginning in two key areas of that city.
It is founded by Raju Bhupathy and Sandeep Penumatsa, and backed by Sashi Reddis SRI Capital, the statement said.
Post the acquisition, Lamba would join the Hello Curry senior management.
Bhupathy said, “It (acquisition of Paratha Post) will add a good range of standardised Parathas into Hello Curry’s menu and with our larger foot print across two different states we can serve more products to customers from morning to night. Mukesh will be driving our expansion into NCR and helping further build the Hello Curry brand there.”

As per their Linkedin profiles, before starting Paratha Post, Rituraj worked for 9 years in Operations, Sales & Strategy in Retail Chain Operations and e-Retailing, with organizations such as Infosys, Wipro and TCS while Mukesh had 9 Years of experience in IT Project Management, SAP (Logistics)
