IKEA’s stupendous parody of Gravity conveys massive scale of its stores

IKEA, the Swedish furniture giant is known for its massive furniture and lifestyle stores. People have been known to get lost in them. Some have gone far enough as to say that IKEA designs its stores like a maze in order to keep shoppers trapped inside longer!

To communicate the size of their stores and by implication, the chance of finding almost anything you may have in mind for your home, IKEA has come up with an ad that spoofs Gravity – the Hollywood blockbuster that traces the story of astronauts lost in space after a failed space mission.

Starring an equally panicky and heavy breathing Sandra Bullock lookalike and a man who sounds just like George Clooney, the ad stands out for combining a good idea with pretty awesome execution.
