80% Students With International Exposure : IMD’s MBA Class Of 2016
0The MBA Class of 2016 at IMD business school in Lausanne, Switzerland comprises 90 students from 39 countries, 80% of them with international exposure, having lived or worked outside their home country for a minimum of six months.
The average age at entry (minimum 25) is 31. The participants have an average 7 years work experience (minimum 3). Women comprised 19% of the class.
As far as international diversity is concerned, 30% of the class was from Western & Southern Europe, followed by 27% from Asia and 12% each from Central Eastern Europe and Middle East/Africa. Those from Latin America formed 11%, North America 7% and Oceania 1%.
While 31% of the class have Engineering background, 21% are from Business & Commerce followed by 16% in Finance and Economics.
As far as international diversity is concerned, 30% of the class was from Western & Southern Europe, followed by 27% from Asia and 12% each from Central Eastern Europe and Middle East/Africa. Those from Latin America formed 11%, North America 7% and Oceania 1%.
Those with Natural Sciences background comprise 10% of the class and IT & Computer Science at 8%.
In work experience, 16% are from Finance, 14% Strategy & Planning and 13% each in Marketing & Sales and Operations.
In work sectors, 37% of the class are from Manufacturing Industry, 20% Consulting and 14% Financial Services.
The nationalities represented are Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Georgia, Germany, Guinea, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Ivory Coast, Japan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Mexico, Moldavia, Nepal, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Senegal, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, Taiwan, UAE, UK, Ukraine, USA and Uzbekistan.

IMD’s one-year full-time MBA program runs from January through December without any break except for a Company Engagement Project during summer.
