IMD has launched its 2014 MBA class with a new program design led by incoming program director Professor Ralf Boscheck.
IMD has introduced a number of changes in the programme design of its MBA programme. IMD says the new MBA program focuses even more than before on linking the development of technical competence, self-awareness and moral judgement. As per the school, in addition to IMD’s leadership curriculum, entrepreneurship and international consulting projects, new program elements – such as discovery expeditions to Singapore, New York and Sao Paulo or the Navigating the Future Conference – give participants even more real-world experiences and executive interactions.
IMD has also announced an enhanced application process to ensure that candidate selection remains aligned with the new program elements and market requirements.
Professor Boscheck is IMD’s Lundin Family Professor of Economics and Business Policy. He has taught on the IMD MBA program since joining the school in 1990 and has directed the school’s two most senior general management programs. Speaking on the developments, Professor Boscheck said: “We want our participants to obtain the skills to know, the confidence to act, and the humility to lead.”
IMD President Dominique Turpin said: “The IMD MBA has a long and proud tradition, and we welcome this new class into the IMD community. Ralf has a deep commitment to the program, and I am delighted that he will be leading it in the coming years.”
IMD’s one-year MBA program has 90 participants from 40 different countries across six continents. The program is ranked No. 1 worldwide by the Financial Times for Aims Achieved, Placement Success, International Mobility, International Business and International Faculty; No. 1 worldwide by Forbes for return on investment; and No. 1 worldwide for leadership by Bloomberg Businessweek.
