INSEAD and CEIBS retained the first and second ranks respectively for the second successive year in the QS Global MBA rankings Asia 2019.
INSEAD figures in this list of the best full-time MBA programs in Asia since it has a campus in Singapore apart from its Fontainebleau campus in France.
Of the 22 other institutions from Asia ranked this year, CEIBS has notched up the highest score for entrepreneurship & alumni outcomes, a metric which is particularly significant given the growing demand from students for MBA programs to incorporate entrepreneurial elements.
According to Professor Juan Fernandez, CEIBS Associate Dean and MBA Director, the graduating class of MBA 2018 saw a five-year high in both placement and career switch rates, at 93.1% and 86.1% respectively.
“One notable trend was the increase in demand from the technology sector, with hot areas such as blockchain, big data and artificial intelligence attracting more students to develop their careers. I also believe that initiatives such as our on-campus entrepreneurship lab (eLab) were no doubt helpful for the 11 students who started their own ventures or returned to a family business,” he told QS TopMBA.
