IIM Bangalore Admission Process 2020
Candidates need to sit for the CAT exam, which is a national-level entrance exam for admission into the institute. Candidates need to get a minimum score to qualify for the next round of selection. Candidates who get a valid score in their CAT exam become eligible for the next round of selection which include group discussion and personal interviews. For admission in 2020, the premier institute has reduced its CAT cutoff score. The Institute has reduced the CAT cutoff score by 5 percentile for the first stage shortlisting (for each category).
- Both domestic and international students can apply for admission to its PGP program.
- International students who see admission for the PGP course must have a valid GMAT score
- Candidates must have a valid score in GMAT or GRE for the EPGP course.

IIM Bangalore Admission 2020: PGP, PGPBA
IIM Bangalore offers PGPBA & PGP programmes at Post Graduate level. For admission to these programmes, students have to sit for the CAT exam and in the case of international students, students have to sit for GMAT exam. Students who get a valid score in their CAT/GMAT exam are shortlisted for the next round which involves a Written Ability Test (WAT) and a Personal Interview (PI) round. Candidates will also be required to submit a two letters of reference from people who can vouch for their academic/professional performance. IIM Bangalore Selection Process for PGP, PGPBA
In both the PGP and PGPBA programme offered by the Institute there is a two-stage selection process:
Stage 1:
Candidates need to get a valid CAT score to be eligible for the first stage of selection round. In the first stage of the selection round, candidates have to appear for a personal interview (PI) and thereafter also give a Writing Ability Test (WAT) on a topic that will be provided by IIMB.

IIM Bangalore Admission 2020: PGPEM, EPGP
IIM Bangalore offers the PGPEM program which is a two-year weekend course and a one-year full-time regular course, which is the Executive program in management (EPGP).
- The shortlisting for admission to the PGPEM program is done on the basis of performance in the candidate’s CAT/GMAT/GRE/IIMB Test, prior academic performance and work experience which focuses on the duration of the experience and the quality of work done. After shortlisting, candidates are called for theirPersonal Interview and the Written Ability Test.
- For admission to EPGP program, candidates need to have a valid GMAT/ GRE score. In addition to a valid score, candidates will also be required to submit a Statement of Purpose (SOP), highlighting their achievements and the goals they have for their future.

A: This year, there was a drop from 90 percentile to 85 percentile as cut-off for the PGP program. Candidates who get the aforementioned valid score are then shortlisted for the next round of selection which involves a Personal Interview & Written Ability Test.

A: The PGP program offers a total of 412 students for admission to candidates while the EPGP course has 73 seats allocated to it. In total there are 485 seats available at IIM Bangalore.
A: An amount of INR 21, 00,000, is the total tuition fees for two years. IN addition to this, the total fees towards mess expenses is Rs 25,000 for each term. Students admitted to the Institute are also required to deposit an amount of INR Rs 5,000 is required for hostel facilities. The total fees mentioned here does not include service tax & other taxes.
A: IIM Bangalore is visited by top corporate organizations at the time of the placement drive. In 2019, the campus placement drive was a huge success with a 100% placement record wherein a total of 411 students received 488 job offers from the most premier and reputed companies. An amount of Rs. 24.54 LPA was the average CTC offered to the students.
