

Faculty of Management Studies, or FMS Delhi, is a part of the Delhi University and is considered as one amongst India’s top management colleges. This institute was established in 1954 on the campus of Delhi School of Economics. They have also instituted the Association of Management Development Institutions of South Asia (AMDISA) and have several collaborations with other international institutions as well.
FMS offers fulltime MBA programme, Management Development Programme (MDP), executive MBA programmes and a doctoral programme. The MBA programme offered here was ranked 9th by Business Today in 2018 and 6th by The Week in 2017. The executive MBA programme offered was ranked 6th by Business Today in 2017.
To apply for admission to FMS, applicants have to fill an application form and pay the application fee. The application process can only be completed online. The admissions are based on the applicant’s performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT).
After the CAT scores of the applicants are evaluated by the college, the shortlisted students are called for the personal interview and group discussion rounds. Only if the applicant clears both these rounds are they offered an admission.

FMS Delhi offers a number of career services to its students and is listed amongst the country’s best business schools due to its outstanding placement records and high ROI. Several top companies and organizations recruit FMS students. Almost 198 students of the 2017-19 batch took part in the placement drive and all of them were placed in various reputed companies.
129 recruiters were a part of the placement drive and 210 placement offers and 50 pre-placement offers were made. The highest domestic package received during the placement drive was 48 LPA and the average package secured by students was 27 LPA. About 68% of the total offers made were higher than 20 lakhs per annum.
A good number of well-established companies took part in the placement drive. These companies include Google, American Express, Capgemini, Accenture, Airtel, Amazon, HSBC, Asian Paint, Axis Bank, BMW, Deloitte, Flipkart, Cover Fox, Cipla, MakeMy Trip, Hero, Coca Cola, Hindustan Unilever Limited, ICICI Bank, IDFC Bank, Infosys, ITC, Nestle, OYO, Pepsi, Paytm, Amway, Vivo, Tata Sky and Tech Mahindra.

Based on surveys conducted by different publishers in 2019, FMS was ranked at the 5th position by NIRF and The Week, ranked at 8th position by Business Today and 15th position by Economic Times. FMS also came 22nd as per a survey conducted by Outlook in 2020. The Week, Business Today and The Economic Times also ranked FMS as the best MBA college in Delhi in 2019.
