

The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), is a deemed to be university, that was established in 1963. It is an independent institute under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. This national institute is one among the three IIFTs in the country offering postgraduate, executive, research-level and certificate courses in the area of management and economics.
The IIFT Delhi admission process is both merit as well as entrance-based. The IIFT entrance examination which is conducted by NTA on behalf of IIFT has to be cleared for MBA admissions while the admissions are merit-based for the other PG courses. For PhD, the admission is based on a written test and an interview conducted by the institute.
There are two postgraduate courses offered for a duration of two years. The flagship course of the institute is MBA and MA Economics was recently introduced by the institute.
IIFT Delhi offers MBA in International Business (IB) in both full-time and part-time modes and there is no age limit. The final selection is based on a written test, essay write-up, Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). IIFT has a separate entrance exam of its own, which is why CAT or any other national-level entrance exam scores are not applicable.

For PG programmes
The application process is done online and the fee payment for the respective categories are also done online. The application fee is Rs 2,000 for General category and Rs 1,000 for candidates from reserved category to apply for PG programmes.
To fill the application form, follow the steps mentioned below:
Step 1: Go to the official website of IIFT https://iift.nta.nic.in./
Step 2: Click on the Admission 2020 icon followed by the ‘Apply Now’ button.
Step 3: Register yourself first if you are a first time user.
Step 4: For registration, you need to fill in the following details like name, your father’s, mother’s name, DOB, gender, address, category, a valid email address, mobile number, and address.
Step 5: Fill the application form after the registration process.
Step 6: Upload the required documents.
Step 7: Select your choice of exam centre. Click on ‘Next’.
Step 8: Pay the application fee based on your category using debit/credit card or net banking.
Step 9: After the payment is successful, a confirmation mail will be sent to your registered email address.
Step 10: Download the confirmation mail and keep a printout for future reference.
For PhD programmes
IIFT Delhi PhD application process is available both online and offline. The application process is the same for full-time and part-time PhD course and the same steps are followed to fill the online form:
Step 1: on the webpage, https://tedu.iift.ac.in/iift/index.php, click on ‘Apply Online’ option for the PhD course.
Step 2: Register yourself if you are a new user by giving a valid mobile number and e-mail id.
Step 3: Fill the details and upload the required documents mentioned below.
Step 4: Pay the stipulated application fee of Rs 2,500 for General category or Rs 1,250 for SC/ST category.
To fill the offline application form, follow the below steps:

IIFT Delhi provides need-based scholarships to students whose family income is less than Rs 4.5 LPA. They also pay the interest subsidy for a specific period of time for the education loan taken by a student from the bank.
IIFT students are also eligible to avail benefits under the central sector scholarship scheme. This scholarship is also open to SC/ST students hailing from families where the income is less than Rs 4.5 LPA.
