IIM Lucknow Admission

IIM Lucknow offers various programs at PG & Doctorate level like, PGP, EPGP and Fellow programs.  IIM Lucknow is also the 1^st IIM to set up a satellite academic campus in a different city (Noida). It is also consistently being ranked at 4^th position by NIRF from the last 4 years; MHRD has recognized it as an ‘Institute of Excellence’. Institute has reduced required CAT score weight-age to 60% in its short-listing criteria for the PGP program applicants. Over, 27,597 applicants were shortlisted in stage 1. 

Admission Process 2020 

Admission to each program at the institute follows specific admission criteria. Aspirants can apply for admission via online as well as offline mode.

• Admission to PG programs i.e. PGP, PGP-ABM, PGP-depends upon the CAT score, relevant work experience, and scholastic achievement
• For FPM program, a valid CAT score is considered but aspirants with valid GATE/ GMAT/ GRE or JRF/ SRF(UGC/ ICAR/ CSIR) scores can also apply
• Admission to the IPMX (International Program in Management for Executives) program is offered on the basis of the valid GMAT score, while for PGPWE it is offered on the basis  valid GMAT/CAT/XAT/GATE scores or PGP-WE entrance test followed by WAT and PI rounds
• Admission to EFPM – (Executive Fellow Program in Management) is offered on the basis of academic and professional profile

Admission 2020: PGP, PGP-ABM, PGP-SM at IIM Lucknow

• Aspirants seeking admissions for PGP, PGP-ABM and PGP-SM programs must have a valid CAT score
• Selection in the PGP program is offered on the basis of performance in CAT, work experience, scholastic achievement, and performance in the WAT (Written Ability Test) & PI rounds
• PGP-ABM & PGP-SM aspirants must fill the special form within the given time window, failing to which applicants will not be considered eligible for WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI rounds

Admission 2020: PGPWE, IPMX – IIM Lucknow

For PGPWE Program

Applicants are selected based on the performance in GATE/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT/ PGP-WE entrance exam followed by WAT – (written ability test) and PI. Once WAT and PI are done, the final score is calculated using the following components:

Applicants should have a minimum of 3 years of full time professional/ managerial work experience as on 31/03/2020

*The PGPWE program is open to working executives/ professionals of all nationalities. There is no fee for applying to this program.

For IPMX

• Applicants are short-listed on the basis of valid GMAT score for WAT (Written Ability Test) & PI rounds
• After WAT & PI round, the final selection is done on the basis of score calculated using the weight-age of the following components:

• Minimum 5 years of full-time managerial work experience is required as on March 31, 2020 for this program

Admission 2020: EFPM, FPM – IIM Lucknow

For EFPM Program

• Aspirants must have a valid score in  GMAT / GRE/ GATE/ CAT/ JRF or PGPWE entrance exam
• Special screening committee will shortlist the applications for Personal Interview
• Final selection of the applicants will be done on the basis of PI, past academic performance and professional work profile

*Applicants with One-year PGDM degree are not eligible, unless they are graduates of 4-year degree program, or have another PG degree

For FPM Program

• Applicants are short-listed based on their past academic record and performance in the competitive examination such as CAT/ GATE/ GRE/ GMAT or JRF/ SRF (UGC/ CSIR/ ICAR)
• Further, Shortlisted candidates will be called for Personal Interview
• Institute will release list of the selected students and will be intimate them through E-mail

*Work experience in academics or industry, though not mandatory will be given due credit (weight-age) in the selection process. The work experience as full-time executives/ professionals or as management will be considered as a valid work experience.

*Aspirants who are appearing for their final year exams in the current academic year are also eligible to apply. However, admission offered to such applicants will be provisional and subject to their successful clearing of their exams.

*Aspirants must equal or less 55 years of age as on the June 2018.

Application Process 2020 

In the application process for PGP program following steps are involved:

Application process – PGP Program 

Step I: Applicant have to first appear for CAT examination or equivalent competitive exam, CAT is a CBT Exam (computer-based test)

Step II: Cut-off and merit list is prepared for short-listing the applicants

Step III: Applicants are shortlisted for Personal Interview based on their performance in CAT, relevant work experience and educational achievements.

• In last week of February, WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI rounds are then conducted at Bangalore, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, New Delhi and Hyderabad.
• Final selection of the applicants is offered on the basis of performance in CAT, work experience, educational achievements, and performance in the WAT (Written Ability Test) and PI round.

Admission process – For IPMX Program

Aspirants seeking admission into the IPMX program, can fill the application form either online or offline.

Documents required along the application form are:

• A copy of the valid GATE/ GMAT/ CAT/ XAT Those applicants who wish to appear for WMP Entrance Exam at IIM Lucknow’s Noida Campus, need to mention the same in the application form
• Copies of Educational Certificate/ Mark-sheets of Class 10^th, Class 12^th and Bachelor’s Degree
• If applicable, copy of NC-OBC / SC/ ST Certificate
• In case of any disability, then the relevant Certificate of Disability
• Work experience certificates(s) or pay-slips from your current / previous employer (s);
  • It is required to mentioned the dates of joining and leaving the organization(s)
  • Self-employed professionals are required submit a declaration mentioning the exact dates of their professional work engagement along with necessary document (s) 

For FPM Program

• Aspirants can apply either via online or offline methods, details of which are mentioned below:

Seat Reservation 2020 

Seat reservation at IIM Lucknow is provided as per the rules & regulations of Government of India:

• 15 percent of the seats are reserved for SC (Scheduled Caste) category candidates
• 5 percent seats are reserved for ST (Scheduled Tribe) category candidates
• 27 percent seats are reserved for OBC (Other Backward Classes) category candidates belonging to the “Non-Creamy” layer
• 5 percent seats are reserved for PwD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities)
