College Info

The Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management (SJMSOM) at IIT Bombay was set up in 1995 for management education, research and training. At present, the school offers a 2-year full-time MBA program, a doctoral program, an EMBA program and short-term MDP courses.

The location of the school at the IIT makes it possible to integrate engineering and social sciences, along with interdisciplinary studies into management education.

Admission Process & Eligibility

For MBA Program, you should have a four-year Bachelor or Master’s degree with 60% marks in the aggregate (55% for those in SC/ST category) or a minimum 6.5 CPI (6 for SC/ST category) out of 10. Those who have CA/ICWA qualifications with the above-mentioned scores are also eligible to apply.

Candidates appearing for their final degree examination can apply. However, their admission will depend on fulfilling the minimum scores applicable in other cases.

The online application forms are to be completed after the declaration of the Common Admission Test (CAT) results.

Those shortlisted by the admission committee will be called for a Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). They should book the slots for WAT and PI as soon as the shortlist is released.

The average CTC for the MBA 2017-19 batch of 109 students saw an increase in the average CTC to Rs 20.8 lakh with the median rising to Rs 20.3 lakh. The highest CTC was Rs 32.4 lakh. The number of PPO/PPI stood at 52.
