MBA graduates working in the finance sector, including in accounting, often command a six-figure salary, but graduates of some highly selective business schools are able to draw an average salary greater than $120,000 and an annual salary that could be in excess of $200,000.
Heading the list of 10 is Stanford Graduate School of Business has tied with Harvard Business School in the highest average salary among graduates with finance or accounting jobs.
The list continues with Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where its 48 graduates drew an average salary of $125,750 in the range of $100,000-$250,000.
Drawing upon the data supplied by graduates of the Class of 2016, U.S. News says Stanford graduates, in the sector, numbering 72, received an average salary of $159,119. The salary range was $24,000-$250,000.
In the case of Harvard, the graduates numbering 174, drew an average salary of $149,696 in the range of $60,000-$500,000.
Next is another tie between University of Pennsylvania Wharton School and Columbia Business School. Wharton’s 223 graduates earned an average salary of $137,455 in the range of $27,600-$250,000.
For Columbia, its 221 graduates drew an average salary of $133,575 in the range of $60,000-$325,000.
Next comes Chicago Booth School of Business where the graduates drew an average salary of $126,801 in the range of $60,000-$215,000.
The list continues with Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth where its 48 graduates drew an average salary of $125,750 in the range of $100,000-$250,000.
Next comes Kellogg School of Management and with 60 graduates reporting an average salary of $123,150 in the range of $65,000-$250,000.
Emory University Goizueta Business Schools follows with 22 graduates drawing an average salary of $122,182 in the range of $75,000-$300,000.
Next comes NYU Stern with 122 graduates drawing an average salary of $121,504 in the range of $73,000-$175,000.
