Eligibility

To be eligible for a post-graduate program in Hotel Management, the student must be graduate and must possess a bachelor’s degree in any stream. The student must have graduated with at least 50% marks from any recognized university.

The aspirant will have to take either Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT) for admission in institutes. However, some institutes have their own entrance exams for admission.

Some Institutes have a one on one interview with the candidate after the written entrance exam to select the right candidate for the course.

MBA in Hotel Management Syllabus

An MBA in Hotel Management is a two- year course and the focus is on training students to understand the nuances of running the operations of a hospitality firm such as a hotel or resort.

Courses cover aspects such as Food and Beverages, Entertainment, Events and Meetings etc. as these are the core products and offerings in the hotel industry. 5. Food and Beverage Manager

The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for the overall operation of the kitchen i.e. ensuring that the restaurant is well stocked with all items that it has listed on the menu. He is also responsible in managing the kitchen staff which involves hiring and sometimes sacking staff that are not able to carry out their responsibilities. They also have to make sure that proper safety and hygiene is maintained at all times in the kitchen.

The Head Chef is the head of the kitchen responsible for planning the Menu and managing the kitchen for food preparation. They have to make s
