For those candidates who have already appeared for CAT 2019, SNAP 2019 and IIFT 2020 exams, they only need to practise the CMAT mock tests and the GK questions. If you are only planning on giving the CMAT examination, you need to put in a minimum of 4-6 hours daily for CMAT preparation.

As time is less, your focus should be on the toughest subject. Check the CMAT syllabus and make a list of topics starting from the toughest to the easiest one. Split your time accordingly and start the preparation.
As the CMAT exam pattern is quite similar to the other MBA exams, i.e. MCQs on Quant, Reasoning, English and GK, most of the books and study materials will also be the same. You must also simultaneously practice with CMAT mock tests and previous years question papers while covering the syllabus.

Here are a few useful tips for the last month preparation of CMAT exam
Mock Test: Keep practising the mock tests and the CMAT question papers of previous years. The more you practise, the sharper your understanding of the concepts will be. In the last month practise a CMAT mock test every alternate day. Remember to evaluate the result of each mock test and work on your mistakes.

Revision: Start your chapter-wise revision 14 days before the exam. It is pointless to appear for the exam without ample revision of all the topics. Take an hour each day to brush up on your concepts and formulae. Use this time to revise the GK section too which isn’t quite tough if you have been regularly following the news and the current affairs. For static GK topics, the best approach is regular revision. Make short notes in your notebook and go through the notes a day before the exam.
Focus on exam day strategy: Make sure you have a thorough understanding of the CMAT exam pattern including the section-wise breakup, topic-wise weightage and difficulty level. Your choice of questions plays a crucial role in your overall score. CMAT has negative marking and it is better to skip the questions you are not sure of instead of giving an incorrect answer. Develop the ability to identify the questions for which you are 100% sure of the answer.
Time Management: Time management is another crucial aspect of your preparations. CMAT has 100 questions and the duration of the exam is 180 minutes, which means you have 1.8 minutes for each question, including reading the specific instructions, RC passages, mathematical calculation, etc. So work on building your speed and accuracy by solving sample questions in the last one month.
