What is NMAT?
The NMAT Exam 2020 is a management entrance test for admissions to MBA/PGDM courses offered by NMIMS University and other famous B-Schools in India.

The exam conducting authority has listed the following eligibility criteria for NMAT 2019. All the management aspirants should first verify with the eligibility criteria mentioned.

1’st Stage: NMAT Exam 2020
The first stage is about qualifying in the online exam. The online paper has three sections- Language Skills, Quantitative Skills and Logical Reasoning.
NMAT Exam Pattern
The test is for 2 hours and consists of 120 MCQ questions. The table below indicates the distribution of questions and the time allocated for each section.

2’nd Stage: GD-PI Round
The second stage involves the GD and PI round which is conducted for candidates who meet the stipulated cut-offs set by the institution.

The participating institute could also choose to conduct the WAT (Writing Ability Test) or Case Discussion (CD) round instead of the usual GD round. The final admission is generally based on the performance in both the NMAT online test and the GD-PI round.

A. The 75-day test window allows the candidates to schedule their exams based on their level of preparation. A maximum of 3 attempts is allowed for each candidate. This is quite a helpful feature for candidates who aren’t satisfied with their performance the first time. Here are some of the advantages of NMAT exam.
A. Duplicate/multiple applications will not be accepted. Multiple registrations will lead to cancellation of the application.
A. For the documents to be uploaded the specifications are as under:

The image size cannot exceed 1 MB. A white or light-coloured background is preferred for the photos.
A. Only changes in the ‘School Preference’ and ‘Communication Preference’ fields are accepted after submission of the application fee. All fields should be verified before the final submission.
A. Candidates can select a date and time slot of their choice and it is allotted on a first-cum-first-serve basis. After successfully registering your application, the candidate can schedule their exam. This option is available under the exam tab on the candidate dashboard. The details of the exam including, date, time slot and exam venue are printed in the admit card.
A. The retake option is available in the existing registration account after the first attempt once the application fee is paid. The exam can be reattempted two times during the 75-day test window. A 15-day gap is needed before the retaking NMAT exam again.
A. One can reschedule the exam within 72 hours before the exam date. A different date, time and test venue can be selected, subject to availability. An additional fee is charged and a confirmation email is sent when the rescheduled slot is available.
A. Answers in a particular section can be reviewed and edited within the time allotted for that section. You cannot go back to a section once you start the next session.
A. Here is the main difference between the two:
Scaled scores – The test forms are equated to eliminate differences in the difficulty levels and the raw test scores are normalized on the basis of a common scale to arrive at scaled scores.
Percentile scores – It is the candidate’s score/rank in comparison with the score/rank of all the other test-takers.
A. The NMAT exam window is for a period of 75 days, divided into 5 windows of 15 days each (including the first and last date).
A. It means that the aspirants can appear for a total of three-time for NMAT. However, there needs to be a gap of 15 or more days between each retake.
A. Scheduling the exam means to choose a time slot and this can be done after the payment of the application fees. Re-take scheduling is about scheduling the retake of the exam. Rescheduling refers to choosing another time slot and date in case a candidate is unable to take the exam on the day chosen.
