Right answer | +1 |
Wrong answer | -0.25 |
Unanswered questions | 0 |
Your XAT score will be calculated based on each section’s raw scores. One mark is awarded for each right answer, 0.25 marks are deducted for each wrong answer and 0.10 marks are deducted if you have skipped eight questions consecutively.
How is XAT Score Calculated
- Calculating your XAT percentile score isn’t very difficult.
Your cumulative score in all the three sections (VA, DM & QA) will be given to you. - You will be then ranked according to the total marks scored by you in the XAT exam.
- To arrive at the XAT percentile score, your rank will be subtracted from the total number of candidates and that number will be further divided by the total and then will be multiplied by 100.
Let’s make it clear to with the help of an example:
Assume your rank to be 500 and the total students to have appeared in XAT to be 80,000. That makes your XAT percentile to be:
79500/80000×100=99.375
What After XAT Results?
After the declaration of your XAT results, XLRI will declare the cut-offs percentiles for admission to its various management courses which include the Business Management (BM), Human Resource Management (HRM) and General Management Program (GMP) courses.
If you meet the declared cutoffs then you would be required to register on XLRI’s official website to indicate your interest in the GD/PI round.
