The MIT Sloan Fellows MBA is a full-time, one-year program, for executives with high-potential who, in their mid-career, seek to upgrade their leadership capabilities and innovation skills through management education.

You should have more than 10 years of full-time work experience with leadership achievements. The application for admission should be accompanied by GMAT/GRE/Executive Assessment scores along with transcripts, resume, cover letter, essay, video statement, two letters of recommendation and organizational chart. The application fee is $250. The shortlisted candidates will have to undergo an interview.
The curriculum comprises core courses, electives, team projects and real-world experiences. It builds on a foundation of management and global leadership.
Several students use both curricular and extracurricular options for strategic projects. These provide opportunities for exploring their new interests, demonstrate growing capabilities and connect with industry.
The usual avenues for participating in projects are the Action Learning Labs, venture-focused classes, working groups, entrepreneurship programs, competitions, hackathons, club or conference leadership roles, thesis, or faculty-supervised independent study.
The School says students prefer action-oriented projects, complementing their traditional academic assignments, that directly impact a startup, company, body of industry knowledge, or campus group.

The tuition fee for the program (2019-20) stands at $136,135. The total fee, including books & supplies, computer, food, personal expenses (including insurance), housing, transportation and travel amounts to $192,115.
Those intending to apply for loans, including international students, should submit the MIT Graduate Loan Application form to MIT Student Financial Services. US citizens and permanent residents are also required to file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Additional funding sources are available including the Forté Foundation Fellowships for women, Dean’s Fellowships, The Legatum Fellowship, The Nippon Foundation’s International Fellowship, Kennedy Memorial Trust Scholarship and Action, Impact & Motivation (AIM) Scholarship.
The class comprises 104 students representing 40 countries. Women constitute 21.2%. International students make up 73%. The cohort has an average work experience of 14 years.
In Industry background, 23% are from Financial services, followed by Software/Technology/Telecom (17%), Government (10%), Energy/Chemicals (9%), Manufacturing/Machinery (8%), Transportation/Automotive (7%), Advertising/Retail/Entertainment (5%), Consulting, Healthcare/Live Sciences, Nonprofit, Food/Beverage/Tobacco (4% each), Real Estate/Construction, Pharmaceuticals/Biotechnology, Others (2%) each.
