0Admission is open for the Mannheim one year Full-Time MBA program starting in September 2020 with the second early bird deadline of March 31 which entitles you to a reduction of € 1,000 in the tuition fee.
The University of Mannheim Business School is located at Mannheim, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The program, ranked number 1 in Germany by Forbes, Bloomberg-Businessweek and The Economist, is taught in small classes, facilitating close interactions with professors and fellow participants. It also offers flexibility in the form of specialization courses as well as the option to add an international exchange or internship for an additional period of three months.

Class Profile
The students are, on average, 30 years old with 6 years of full-time work experience after their first degree. Women comprise 35% of the class. Those with Engineering & IT form 39% followed by Business & Economics (33%), Engineering & IT (39%), Natural Sciences & Medicine (10%), Law (5%), Humanities/Arts (5%), Social Sciences (5%) and Others (3%).
While students from Germany constitute 17% of the class, the rest of Europe make up 25%. Those from Asia/Oceania form 28% followed by Latin America (15%), North America (12%) and Africa (3%)
Eligibility Criteria
You should possess an internationally recognized academic degree in any discipline (at least a Bachelor’s) with a minimum B+ average in the undergraduate degree, along with at least 3 years of work experience after graduation.
The school looks for leadership potential with international experience. You should be fluent in English. Non-English speakers should present scores of TOEFL with a minimum score of 95, IELTS with a minimum score of 7.0, or equivalent.
A minimum GMAT score of 600 or equivalent GRE score is needed. If you have a GMAT score of 650 or an equivalent GRE score, the school offers a reduction of €200 to acknowledge your good performance if you are admitted to the program.
While knowledge of the German language is not an admission requirement, international participants are encouraged to enroll for German language courses prior to the program start.
The Admission Process
You should fill up the MBA Application Form and send along with the required documents and an application fee of € 130 to the school,
Your referees should fill up the Reference Form and send it directly to the Admissions Manager. Your letter of motivation should not exceed one page (approximately 500 words).
The Admissions Committee will take a holistic view of your application and arrange for a personal or web-based interview with the Admissions Manager. If you are successful in the interview, a case study will be given to you for working on at home.
The decision on your admissions will be based on the evaluation of your application package and the selection interview within two weeks. Once you get the admission notification and contract, you have to sign and return the admission contract to the School.
Fees, Other Expenses and Scholarships
At present, the course fee is € 39.500. The tuition fee is inclusive of case studies, copies and course materials. Students will also have full access to our IT infrastructure, including wireless LAN and intranet. It also includes the use of the library and its various databases, the gymnasium, the cafeteria and student clubs.
The tuition fees will also cover German language courses, coffee breaks as well as some extracurricular programs and trips. It, however, does not cover transportation, accommodation and living costs.
A down payment of € 8,500 is due one week after the signing of the admissions contract. Prior to the start of the program, you should pay 50% of the tuition fee. You will be eligible for a concession of €500 if the tuition fee is paid upfront.
A range of scholarships is available to help you finance your MBA, including the newly set up MBS Network Scholarship of € 10,000 for one MBA student. Half of this amount is from the fee paid by the students and alumni for network club events over the last year. The other half is contributed by MBS. You need to get in touch with the admission manager and file the scholarship application form by May 31.
Another Scholarship of €7,000 is available for The Most Outstanding Candidate with excellent educational and professional background. A high score in GMAT or GRE and TOEFL or IELTS (if appropriate), international working experience with excellent foreign language skills (e.g. min. German at B2 level) and social engagement is recommended.
Apart from these, scholarships for excellent candidates of €1,000 – €2,000, Scholarship for Women in Business (€1,000 – €2,000) are available. Other options include Prodigy Finance Loan Program for International Students.
