Ivey Reports $101,479 Average Salary – Will This Improve The B-School’s Ranking?
0Richard Ivey School of Business, Canada has published the employment report of its MBA class of 2015 that shows an improvement in salaries received by graduates this year
Average salary (including base salary, signing bonus, and other guaranteed compensation) stood at $101,479 this year as per the B-School’s placement report. This is an improvement over the $95,922 average salary (non-weighted) quoted by the B-School in 2014.
Ivey says that out of the students seeking employment, 99% received an offer by December 1, 2015.
Ivey has been trailing other business schools in Canada in recent years on the parameter of salaries commanded by its graduates. This reflects in the B-School’s tardy performance on major rankings such as the Financial Times (FT) Global MBA Ranking.
The school just about managed to hold on to a place in the ranking this year after a huge fall of 19 ranks over the past three years. While the school was ranked 78 in 2013, it was ranked 97 in 2015, in the ranking of the top 100 B-Schools.
The latest salary data posted by the B-School is higher than that of previous years and could help the school reverse its fortunes in the FT ranking this year.
