The process to apply for a one year MBA course varies from one IIM to another as well as other MBA colleges with different systems. However, one thing in common among the colleges is a minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree with a high percentage and work experience. Master’s Union School of Business, Gurugram is the only college that does not require work experience as a criterion for admission.

Top MBA colleges like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Lucknow and ISB also require an aggregate GMAT/GRE score with at least 50% score in Bachelor’s accompanied by work experience of five years to be eligible for the entrance exam and admission process. One year admission process only after the two years admissions are closed and candidates are shortlisted based on test scores of GMAT/GRE as well as their overall profile. The letter of recommendation for the final admission is evaluated only after the candidate passes the personal interview, written ability test and provides a rigid statement of purpose.

 IIM Ahmedabad has launched PGPX for their one-year full-time residential programme in 2006 and here are the particulars:

• Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of fifteen years of study

• Four years of work experience
• Application fee is Rs. 5000
• Last date for application is November 2019
• Final selection date is December 2019

IIM Bangalore EPGP offers one year MBA course for experienced professionals looking for senior management positions.

• Work experience over 5 but less than 12 years after graduation
• GMAT/GRE score of 700+
• Statement of Purpose or SOP
• Two references
