PGPMAX at ISB Targets CXO-level Candidates

ISB’S Post Graduate Programme in Management for Senior Executives (PGPMAX) is a Global Executive MBA level Program for high-achieving CXO level candidates with 15 plus years of work experience.

With the first application deadline already over on November 15, those who have missed the bus get more time until January 16, 2018, the final deadline. ISB says Round 1 results will be announced on January 30 and Round 2 results on March 15.

The 15-month program has a class composition of CEOs, MDs, VPs, Bankers, Health, Finance Sector professionals, among others.

In effect, it means that you get an opportunity to share learnings with so many other seasoned achievers, at similar levels.

The modular program has a flexible course format with classes being held once every 6 weeks, allowing the participants to continue with their regular jobs. They will also be able to implement the knowledge gained from the program at the workplace almost immediately.

In the classroom, rigorous strategic thinking, critical analysis, sound communication and team building techniques are called for. The overall atmosphere is conducive to building up healthy, lifelong friendships and business partnerships among other things.

The program allows you to share stimulating experiences with eminent professionals from a cross-section of industries including large private organisations, public sector undertakings, NGOs, SMEs and family businesses.

Such a situation also leads to sharing of perspectives on various domains such as sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, operations, research and development among others.

ISB claims that the program also lays emphasis on cultivating and enhancing certain traits and soft skills that would give you the confidence to become a better leader.

With a mature cohort, the style of teaching for the program is different from the conventional one, involving textbooks, exams and rote learning. Students exchange notes and discuss real-life cases.

The participants are treated more like senior professionals responsible for taking decisions and less like students in a classroom.

The program has two international academic terms in the USA, one week each in top global business schools like Kellogg School of Management and Wharton school and one in China. This allows students to expand their perspectives and gives them an opportunity to develop an in-depth perspective on global business.

The faculty has members from top-ranked schools across the world including Kellogg, National University of Singapore, University of Michigan and the University of California. The students get an exposure to global standards of academic rigour and teaching methodology.

Fees and Other Expenses

The Program fee for the year 2018-19 is Rs 37,35,000 (plus Taxes) The fee includes accommodation and food on class days. The domestic & international travel costs are additional and not included in the fee amount.

Estimated additional expenses would range from Rs 300,000 to Rs 600,000 and include travel for classes at ISB-Hyderabad/Mohali, Airfare/local conveyance for the international immersion, accommodation during field trips and travel associated with field trips, purchase of laptops and other electronic aids, other miscellaneous expenses like mini bar, laundry, beverages, meals outside campus etc.

Participants have the option to pay in instalments. The Admission Fee of Rs 3,00,000 (plus Taxes) is payable on acceptance of admission offer. The tuition is payable at a later stage in four equal instalments.

The program does not offer scholarships and waivers. However, bank loans are available for which you could contact the financial institutions for details.
