“Prabodhan”, HR & Leadership Conclave For EPGP Class Of 2017 At IIM Indore

Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM-I) will hold “Prabodhan”, the first HR & Leadership Conclave for the EPGP class of 2017 on August 12-13.

The Conclave aims to engage well-known business leaders and HR Heads to share their expertise on the emerging trends and challenges in the arena of Human Capital Management, an IIM-I release said.

Students of the EPGP class chose “Prabodhan”, a Sanskrit word that stands for “Enlightenment” for the two-day mega event.  Earlier, IIM-I had hosted EPGP iKon and IIMIKON series aimed at fostering connections with Industry and Alums respectively.

The Conclave aims to engage well-known business leaders and HR Heads to share their expertise on the emerging trends and challenges in the arena of Human Capital Management.

Prabodhan aims to bolster the industry-academia connect by facilitating open exchange of perspectives between Institute’s Professors and industry leaders.

The key speakers to address the Conclave include Mr Kamal Bali, MD, Volvo India, Dr Ritu Anand, Deputy Head Global HR, Tata Consultancy Services, Dr Y V Verma, former COO, LG, Mr Sanjay Singh, ‎EVP & Global Head- Human Resources, Crompton Greaves, Mr Sanjay Chaturvedi, Head HR Corporate & R&D, Sun Pharma, Major General Raj Shukla of the Indian Army and Dr Sunil Kumar Singh, VP – Head of Learning and Governance, RIL.

The event will start with the welcome address by Prof. Rishikesha T. Krishnan, Director-IIM Indore. The opening remarks would be by Mr Kamal Bali, MD Volvo India. He will speak on “Transforming India and the role HR can play in it”.

The Talk Sessions will see industrial leaders and other participants air their views on a gamut of issues such as Mergers &  Acquisitions, Talent Acquisition Dilemma, Managing Disruptions and the like.

During the event, incisive and comprehensive panel discussions on a variety of topics are expected to take place along with stimulating interactions and debate that will encompass various critical subjects of contemporary HR.

Among the issues and challenges that will be discussed will be how to leverage the data with HR.

The Conclave will conclude on August 13 with the valedictory remarks from the Guest of Honour Mr. Y V Verma and closing remarks by Prof. Prashant Salwan, Chairperson EPGP.

The Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP) is an intensive one-year residential program of IIM Indore. It is specially designed to enhance knowledge, skills and capabilities essential for managing and leading organizations and the programme combines skill building with exploration of good management practices.

In addition to a comprehensive functional core module, there are elective courses aligned with the industry concentration identified for the programme such as Analytics, BFSI, e-Commerce, Operations & Strategy, etc.
