SP Jain Global: GMBA Students Bag Average Salary of Rs 20 Lakh at Final Placement 2019

Students of the one year full-time Global MBA (GMBA) program at SP Jain School of Global Management managed to get an average salary of Rs 20 lakh in the Final Placement 2019.

The program that admits graduates with 3+ years of work experience, is offered at SP Jain Global’s campuses in Dubai, Singapore and Sydney. The students are awarded an Australian degree on its successful completion.

The highest salary offer was Rs 45 lakh, a 10% rise over the previous year.

More than 50% of the cohort accepted employment offers in locations that included Africa; Bahrain, Dubai and Qatar; India, Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

The top global recruiters included Accenture Strategy, Adani, Barclays, Cedar Consulting, Cogoport, Ceva Logistics, E&Y, Dell, Deloitte, Genpact, Johnson & Johnson, KPI Soft, KPMG, PwC, Rivoli, Sofis, Tata NYK, Vector Consulting and Zenrooms.

Consulting topped sector-wise recruitment, offering roles for 24% of the class. Logistics & Supply Chain came next with 17% followed by IT (16%), Finance and Retail (6% each), Education and Luxury (4% each) and Others (23%).

Sales & Marketing topped function-wise recruitment at 35%, Consulting came next (24%) followed by Logistics and Supply Chain (15%), Finance and IT (9% each) and General Management (8%).

SP Jain Global MBA Current Class Profile

The GMBA Class of 2019 (January and May intakes) comprised 94 students whose average age was 28.7 years. Women constituted 31%. The class has 21.3% international students from the USA, Romania, Serbia, Italy, UAE, Oman, India, China, Kazakhstan, South Korea, Singapore, Philippines and Indonesia.

The average GMAT score stood at 637. In education background, Engineering/Technology constituted 59.6% followed by Commerce (8.5%), Arts and Science (7.5% each), Others (6.2%, includes Design of Visual Communication, Pharmacy, Law, and Mass Media) and Management (4.3%).

The average work experience of the cohort was 6.25 years with 56.4% having 3-6 years followed by 25.5% with 6-8 years, 12.8% with 8-11 years and 5.3% with 11+ years.

The industries represented included Consulting, IT & Software, Media Marketing & Sales, Energy, Healthcare, Automobile, Education, Telecommunications, Banking, Pharmaceutical, Insurance, Consumer Goods & Services, Hospitality, Manufacturing, Logistics & Supply Chain.

While 41.5% of the students opted to specialize in Marketing Management, 28.7% preferred Logistics & Supply Chain Management. Consulting Management was chosen by 22.3% followed by 7.5% in IT Management.
