Strategic Media & Entertainment Management Program at SPJIMR
0SPJIMR (S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research) has teamed up with Times Centre for Learning Ltd. (TCLL) to launch a Program in Strategic Media & Entertainment Management (PSMEM).
The program will be delivered through TCLL in a blended mode, SPJIMR said in a press statement.
The program, aimed at working executives is expected to be a valuable input to the fast changing and growing media and entertainment industry. The 11-month full time Certificate program would provide a strong fundamental knowledge of management practices and insights to help the participants build a rewarding career in Media & Entertainment.
It would also involve industry leaders to provide necessary oversight and perspectives to guide in the design and roll-out. The collaboration of a media giant with SPJIMR that figures among the top 10 ranked management institute involves two campus immersions.
Creativity workshops will be held by corporate leaders and industry experts. SPJIMR faculty and Industry experts would come on a Live Virtual Interactive Learning Platform at a Times Learning Centre in Delhi, Mumbai & Bangalore.
At the conclusion of this programme, the participants are expected to be proficient in the business dynamics of various arms of Media and Entertainment Industry, including the Old & Emerging Business Models, the Operating Models & Structures, Market Dynamics & Consumer Insights of each of forms of Media and Entertainment Industry.
They will develop an operational knowledge of various management functions – Accounting & Finance, People Understanding (OB) & Management (HRM), Marketing & Sales, Customer Service & Engagement, etc. – that aid in the successful functioning of any media and entertainment firm.
The students will be equipped with all the relevant tools and skills that complement effective execution of any business operation in a Media & Entertainment company.

This collaboration with TCLL brings together SPJIMR’s experience in business and management studies, with the Times Group’s expertise in media and entertainment, he added.
The rigorous program comprises 2-week on-campus immersions modules, 20 key courses covering all aspects of management and media / entertainment, creativity workshops, career orientated projects and thought leader lectures, apart from classroom sessions and guest lectures.
