Overview

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode’s Post-graduate Programme in Management is a key programme in training young, energetic graduates in pursuit of senior-level positions in any sector.

To counter the problem of memorizing to reproduce and ensure genuine understanding and usage of knowledge gained, the Post-graduate Programme leverages on methods such as:

• Use of lectures, case studies, exercises, role-plays, simulation and videos for effective and engaging tutelage
• Use of the library, group work, open-ended discussions and real-life projects to encourage engagement with others alongside self-study
• Use of evaluation systems comprising of quizzes, assignments, mid-term and end-term examinations to keep track of student’s performance throughout the course

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) ranks high among the top institutes in the country and is unwavering in its promise of future growth. The first batch at IIMK in 1997 was made up of only 42 students – the institute has grown to have about 500 students today, making it one of the fastest-growing institutes in the country.

The institute has managed to stay in on top by ensuring high quality and a wide range of academic programmes in the field of management education.

Class Profile

The class size has seen a steady increase over the years with more than 400 students graduating in the year 2020. This number was between 350 and 400 the previous year.

Eligibility

 Eligibility criteria for Indian candidates

• A positive individual score in all sections of the CAT exam
• A bachelor’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks
• A minimum of 50% marks in CA/ICWA/CS in the absence of a recognized bachelor’s degree
• The final percentage of marks would be calculated using the marks of ALL subjects that appear in the marks sheet or grade sheet. There will be no further deliberation from the board once the marks appear in the marks sheet
• Any candidate in his/her final year of bachelor’s degree would be allowed to join the Programme only if he/she submits a certificate signed by the Registrar of his/her college/institute stating that he/she has completed all the requirements for obtaining the bachelor’s degree as at the date of issuance of the certificate

Deadline of submission of the certificate is June 30, 2021.

How to apply

• Application forms can be download from the college website
• Submit a completed admission application. The documents specified above should be enclosed and a bank draft for $100 (processing fee) which is drawn in favour of – Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode. Deadline for the submission of the documents to the institute is February 10, 2021.
• Candidates with a foreign nationality should direct their applications via the Ministry of External Affairs of the Indian Government
• The applicants short-listed will be required to undergo a personal interview before April 15, 2021
• The selected candidates will be informed of their selection by April 30, 2021
