Introduction
The mantra of IIM Lucknow’s Post Graduate Program (PGP) is “Good practice flows from strong theory”. The overall program is designed to turn a student into a responsible as well as a visionary manager. This program equips candidates with strong conceptual fundamentals.
IIM L’s PGP is a two-year, full time, and residential Post-Graduate Program offered by IIM Lucknow. The candidate who meets the program requirement will be eligible for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management.
The PGP’s program objectives are to empower students to:
- Gain state-of-art knowledge and master skills in functional areas of management to become a professional manager
- Learn about tactics and develop an analytical approach so that with an innovative attitude and management skills, a student can increase the effectiveness and efficiency of a particular organizational system
- Understand various modern societies’ distinctive value and their socio-economic, technological, political, and ecological environment

The 34th batch of MBA program’s placement percentage at IIM Lucknow was 100%, which means all students of that batch got placements. At IIM Lucknow, the highest offered salary to a candidate was Rs 54 lakh per annum. Along with that, the highest international salary offering was Rs 58.47 lakh per annum.
It is the first time when IIM Lucknow came up with the data of salary offered to candidates in the final placement process.
Accenture, Amazon, American Express, Asian Paints, AT Kearney, Avendus Capital, Axis Capital, Bain & Co, Citi, Colgate Palmolive, Deloitte, Ernst and Young, Flipkart, ITC, Uber, Goldman Sachs, ICICI Bank, Investec, and many other well-known companies participated in IIM Lucknow’s placement process of 2020.
Along with that, companies such as Apparel Group, Bosch, Ernst & Young (MENA), FIITJEE, FSS, Indigo, JCB India, Magicbricks.com, Reliance Jio, ONGC, SAIF Partners, Transsion, Power Finance Corporation, and Wells Fargo also participated as the first time recruiter.

IIM Lucknow Placements 2020: Sector-Wise Split
There were three best performing and higher offer domains In IIM Lucknow, which are Strategy/Consulting domain (32%), Operations (24%), and Finance (19%). However, in the General, Management Domain, 13% offers were made by companies. On the other hand, Sales & Marketing domain was at the lower end with 12% of total offers.

Eligibility Criteria And Admission
Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have a Bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent to CGPA are free to apply for this program.
- However, Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PWD) category applicants must have at least 45% marks.
- What about those students who are waiting for the result of their final year examination or in the final year of their Bachelor’s education/equivalent qualification? Well, those students are also eligible to apply for this program at IIM Lucknow. But the only term for such students is that he/she must provide certificate latest by 30 June 2020 from the Principal/registrar of his/her college/institute. That certificate must mention that a particular candidate has completed all the requirements in order to obtain Bachelor’s degree/equivalent degree.

Curriculum
In the first year of academic work, there are a total of three terms, with compulsory 22 foundation packages that are essential to equip students with basic conceptual knowledge and tools and techniques in various functional areas of management.
After the first year, there is a compulsory two-month Summer Training in business organizations. Students learn about the real-life work environment during this training and work on assignments that they have learned in the first year.
Similarly, second-year academic work also has three terms, which include three courses; two are compulsory, which are related to integrative nature. Another is a package of 15 courses of advanced and applied nature for specialization. Other than this, students are also free to choose up to two courses of independent study (CIS). Another option can be choosing one Dissertation Project, which is equivalent to two elective courses in Term-V and Term-VI.
