Eligibility Criteria And Admissions
In order to get into this program, all applicants must have taken and passed the Common Admission Test (CAT) conducted by the Indian Institute of Management. Applicants can find all the details about the CAT examination here.
International candidates must provide GMAT scores.
Eligibility Criteria
All applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 50% passing marks or CGPA in any other equivalent degree. There is additional 5% relaxation for applicants belonging to categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Differently Abled (DA), and Persons with Disability (PWD).
Admissions
In order to get admission into this program, candidates must have valid CAT scores, and international or overseas candidates must apply with GMAT scores.
Validity and other conditions are specified below:
CAT – Current year scores
GMAT score – no earlier than 24 months before the last date of application
Admission Process for Overseas candidates
International candidates such as NRIs who are willing to get admission into this Master in Business Administration (MBA) by IIM, Shilong, may need to provide their latest GMAT scores. But the condition is that these scores should not be older than 24 months from the date of filling application for this program.
IIM S considers GMAT scores of international candidates similar to the CAT scores of native Indian candidates, however, if overseas candidates are in India during the CAT examination, they should appear for the CAT examination.
In case an Indian citizen is living abroad (studying or employed) for more than 18 months before applying for this program, he/she will be considered an overseas candidate. Another thing to consider is that there are no reservations for international candidates, which means the final admission offers will be made based on merit.
